Top 3 Reasons Why You Should Have a First Look

Bride and Groom

I LOVE first looks! Why? They add so much beauty and intimacy on wedding days! First looks are great because you and your partner are able to see each other together in a private setting, so all of the pressure is totally off and you feel free to enjoy the rest of your day without any added stress. Here are three more reasons why I love first looks and will always recommend them to my brides!

– 40% MORE portraits! With a first look, you get at least 40% more portraits of you and your partner that will one day fill your future home. First looks get you more bang for your buck and help you get the most out of your wedding photography investment and experience. Plus, if heavy rain or storms come during your ceremony, you won’t have to worry about how you will get your portraits done because you have already gotten a large majority of them during the first look!

– Extend your day! Instead of rushing into bridal party portraits, you actually get to hangout and enjoy your time with your bridal party (aka your best friends!) while taking pictures with ease and no added stress for time.

– Alone time! Wedding days can feel extremely rushed, so having a first look helps stop time. With a first look you actually get to spend some quality alone time with your spouse. You will be able to see them react to how beautiful you look, hear them talk to you before seeing them at the ceremony, and hold them in your arms before you say “I Do.”

First looks are full of smiles, laughter, and sometimes even happy tears. They are beautiful and precious moments shared between the bride and groom and I couldn’t recommend doing one more! Of course with that said, I also have nothing against not doing a first look on your wedding day. I want your big day to be exactly like you envision it and will work closely with you on a timeline to make sure we capture everything you want while also keeping the day stress-free!
